Lady Gaga on Tony Bennett Duet Album: 'It's the most important album I've ever made'

'Applause' beauty Lady Gaga recently teamed up with Tony Bennett for a collaborative album called Cheek To Cheek and she has described the record as the 'most important' offering she has ever worked on.

Speaking to Ryan Seacrest on KIIS-FM about her experience of working with the jazz legend, Gaga admitted that it was an amazing experience and one that made her incredibly nervous:

“I just was shaking in my boots, really. I tell everyone that I kept a whiskey underneath my stool when I was recording with him in the studio because I was so nervous. I feel so humbled to be doing this project with him. This is, for me, the most important album I’ve ever made.”

During a Twitter Q&A yesterday (September 24), the superstar told her followers that Bennett has done things for her and her career that she will be eternally grateful for: "What he has done for me will change my career forever. And I truly cherish our friendship."
