Lady Gaga: 'I got really lost for a little while'

Lady Gaga has admitted that her new jazz album has helped her regain focus in her life.

The singer recently teamed up with 88-year-old Tony Bennett for the record 'Cheek to Cheek', which was released last week.

Speaking in a new interview with the Independent, the US star said that she had felt "lost" prior to recording the album.

When asked what 'Cheek to Cheek' has taught her, Gaga said: "Gosh, it’s taught me so much. And more than teaching me, it’s made me myself again. I got really lost for a little while. I felt like I didn’t even know who I was any more.

"And with Tony I found that boxer, that fighter within me who was ready to take on the world."

Speaking meanwhile about the inspiration behind the record, Gaga added:

"I wanted to do something different with Tony [from what] he’d ever done before, with any other jazz singer."
