Ryan Murphy teases Lady Gaga's 'American Horror Story' role

Earlier this year it was confirmed that Lady Gaga will star in the upcoming new season of 'American Horror Story: Hotel' and the show's creator, Ryan Murphy, has now shed more light on the character she will play.

Murphy took to his official Twitter page last night and hinted that there will be some kind of love triangle involving Gaga, actor Matt Bomer and newly added cast-member Finn Wittrock: "Finn Wittrock is checking into HOTEL. Who will Gaga choose -- Finn or Matt Bomer? #AHSHotel"

Wittrock, meanwhile, recently praised Gaga and told press that she will be a fantastic addition to the series: "I was like, 'Perfect!' Ryan (Murphy) always has a way of outdoing himself. It's hard to keep surprising people when each season is so surprising."

"He very wisely makes a big awesome casting choice to get people intrigued. This was the epitome of that. The thing about (Lady Gaga), with her great theatricality and the gratuity of her own image, it actually makes a lot of sense for her to be on this show."

Bomer also recently spoke about getting to work with Gaga on the show: "I know that I'll be working with Stefani [Germanotta], Lady Gaga, pretty extensively, so I'm excited about that. Our storyline is really, really fun. And I think what they're doing with our characters is really unique and kind of an original take on it."
