Lady Gaga's 'Love Game' Promo Banned on Australian TV

Lady Gaga has seen her music video for 'Love Game' banned from TV in Australia. Channel 10 has given the raunchy promo clip an 'M' rating, meaning it can't be shown on popular music programme 'Video Hits'. To qualify for air time, videos must be given either a G or PG rating.

Producer Ben Fletcher says: "It's pretty rare we get a pop clip that's sexual to the point there's almost no way we can edit it without destroying the original intent of the video."

"It's not just the lyrics and the visuals, if you were to judge it just upon either of those it might not be so bad,'' Fletcher added.

"It's the cumulative impact of all those things together. We have been advised it would be very difficult to edit it down to PG, so we have made the call not to play it."

Despite the controversy over the footage, 'Love Game' is currently number 18 in the Australian singles chart.
