Lady Gaga's father hopes to "get even" with cookbook photos

Lady Gaga's father Joe Germanotta has revealed that the initial criticism his restaurant Joanne Trattoria received "was a disaster".

He will release a cookbook, entitled "Joanne Trattoria Cookbook: Classic Recipes and Scenes from an Italian-American Restaurant", on November 22 and told the New York Daily News that he believes in his establishment and thinks this book will be well received.

He confessed that the book boasts some photographs of Lady Gaga that will help him to "get even" after she shared an unflattering picture of him in her Joanne album sleeve: "I’m going to get even. If you look on the inside of the album sleeve, there’s a picture of me and I hated that picture. There’s a couple that she’s going to be upset about. There’s one geeky picture from high school.”

Joe Germanotta also spoke highly of his restaurant's staff, adding: "I treat all these kids like they’re mine. I’m a firm believer in letting people explore their passions — just as I let both my daughters.”
