Lady Gaga: "Political progress can not happen unless there is social progress"

'Million Reasons' sensation Lady Gaga has revealed that she doesn't believe there can be political progress until genuine social progress is solidified.

During an interview with the BBC at Westfield in London this week, she spoke about America's current political climate and explained that she feels a sense of duty to protect and retain the social progress made in the country over the past decade:

"What is very important to me is that the LGBT community in America knows that myself, as well as all members that love the LGBTQ community, are going to do everything that we can to protect the social progress we have made over the last eight years."

"The truth is that political progress can not happen unless there is social progress. You can create lots of jobs, you can create new policy, but those things cannot work unless people like each other. Those things cannot work unless people are kind to one another."
