Lady Gaga announces festive jazz show

Lady Gaga has announced plans to perform a jazz show at the end of the year, but it looks like regular fans will be priced out of attending.

The singer will perform jazz classics, as well as reworkings of her own material, at the Wynn Hotel & Casino on December 30. She will be joined by musician Brian Newman, who the star worked with on the Tony Bennett duets record 'Cheek to Cheek'.

However, ticket prices for the black tie event start at an eye-watering $1,000 (£800), with the seats closer to the stage coming in at $1,500 (£1,200). The venue said in a statement:

"Celebrated for infectious dance tracks and powerful ballads, six-time Grammy Award winner Lady Gaga is set to showcase her love of jazz in an intimate, one-night-only concert in the Encore Theater on Friday, December 30.

"Performing with New York City jazzman, Brian Newman, and his quintet, Gaga will glide through an evening of jazz standards and classics, including renditions of some of the songs that have made her one of the best-selling musicians of all time. Begin your New Year’s weekend on a soulful musical journey expertly guided by the Lady herself."
