The NFL is "confident Lady Gaga will put on a tremendous show" at the Super Bowl

The NFL has refuted claims that suggest Lady Gaga has been told to avoid anything relating to politics at her upcoming Super Bowl half-time show.

Entertainment Tonight recently reported that she was warned against bringing up President-elect Donald Trump or anything directly connected to the current political landscape in America in her show, but the NFL has revealed that this simply isn't true and she has been given no such warning.

The NFL issued a statement on this rumour, which reads: "The Super Bowl is a time when people really come together. Lady Gaga is focused on putting together an amazing show for fans and we love working with her on it; we aren't going to be distracted by this."

"People will have to wait and see what we have in store - we never comment on speculation about the show because there is so much misinformation that surfaces. But we are confident Lady Gaga will put on a tremendous show for fans."

Gaga's half-time show will take place on February 5 at the NRG Stadium Houston, Texas
