Gaga: writing 'Born This Way' was "an immaculate conception"
Lady Gaga feels that she is one of the best performers of this generation.
The confidence she exudes both on stage and as a recorded artist is down to her healthy level of self-belief, which she talks about in her recent Vogue interview:
"Speaking purely from a musical standpoint, I think I am a great performer. I am a talented entertainer. I consider myself to have one of the greatest voices in the industry. I consider myself to be one of the greatest songwriters. I wouldn't say that I am one of the greatest dancers, but I am really quite good at what I do."
She also told Vogue that her new single, 'Born This Way', came from a moment of clarity:
"I wrote it in 10 f**king minutes, and it is a completely magical message song. And after I wrote it, the gates just opened, and the songs kept coming. It was like an immaculate conception."
It was also confirmed late last night that her forthcoming single will be made available ahead of schedule on this coming Friday, February 11.
