Gaga teams up with foundation for $1m donation

Lady Gaga, known for her charitable donations and help with great causes, has teamed up with another foundation to donate an incredible $1 million.

The Robin Hood Foundation will join forces with the 'Judas' superstar and together they will distribute the money to charities in Gaga's stomping ground, New York City, that aim to help young people between the ages of 16-24 who are out of either work or education.

Gaga said of the news:

"I'm thrilled to be working with the Robin Hood Foundation to distribute funds to help the youth of New York City. NYC is my hometown and I think investing in these kids' future will go a long way.”

She will also perform a concert on May 9 to mark the event and perezhilton.com reports that the charities in the running for a cut of the $1m include SCO Family of Services, Lawyers for Children, The Door, Hetrick-Martin Institute, and Safe Horizon.

The Grammy award-winning singer also tweeted this morning, April 27, that the latest episode of Gagavision is on its way:

"Gagavision no.44 coming 2morrow night, commemorating the last American MonsterBall. Hurts to write this. The stage is my home. #BornThisWay"
