Lady Gaga reveals she is often mistaken for Amy Winehouse

Modern pop icon Lady Gaga has revealed that she was often mistaken for the late Amy Winehouse at the beginning of her career in music.

The 'Poker Face' superstar paid tribute to Winehouse on her official Twitter account a day after her death on July 24, and wrote "Amy changed pop music forever, I remember knowing there was hope, and feeling not alone because of her. She lived jazz, she lived the blues."

Speaking briefly in a radio interview with Omaha 94.1 recently, Gaga explained the importance of "taking care" of people's souls and especially so when those people are troubled like the 'You Know I'm No Good' singer was:

"It's a lesson to the world. Don't kill the superstar, take care of her soul."

"I was nobody when she was first coming out. I would be on the street and people would go 'Amy'. I just remember feeling like I wasn't alone because she was so different."
