Lady Gaga explains her 'You and I' video's narrative

Lady Gaga has unveiled exciting details about her forthcoming music video for new single, 'You and I'.

The singer stopped off at Omaha's 94.1 radio station while in Nebraska, where she was filming the video, and explained there's a strong narrative behind the visuals for this particular track as it is especially personal.

"The premise is that I've walked all the way from New York City to Nebraska to get [my boyfriend] back. I'm walking with no luggage, it's just me and my ankles are bleeding a little bit and there's grass stuck in my shoes."

When asked by the radio host if she was back with on-off lover Luc Carl, Gaga replied cryptically, "oh well, I don't talk about that stuff but I will say that I've written a lot of music about him!"

The 'Born This Way' singer added, "It's [about] the idea that when you're away from somebody you love, it's torture"

"It's a very powerful and awful and strange feeling when you're away from the person you love."

Late last night she posted a photograph on social networking site Twitter of a pair of grass-filled ballet pumps, which she is likely to have worn on set in the Nebraskan fields and you can watch her perform 'You and I' below:
