Lady Gaga unveils first black and white Harper's Bazaar cover in 20 years

Modern pop icon Lady Gaga has revealed her exciting cover shoot for Harper's Bazaar.

The 'Judas' superstar took to social networking site Twitter last night, September 6, to prepapre fans for the photograph and wrote:

"In 1 hour I will reveal my new cover on the september issue of BAZAAR. Its the first Black and White Cover printed in 20 YEARS!"

The portrait is a simple monochrome head and shoulders shot, showing Gaga with poker straight long blonde hair and without make up. She later tweeted that Formichetti styled the shoot.

The October issue of Harper's Bazaar will hit newsstands soon and in the accompanying interview, Gaga talks about the stripped down style of the picture, admitting:

"I don't really view it as 'natural.' I think that artifice is the new reality. It's more about just being honest and sincere to the core of what you do. Whether I'm wearing lots of makeup or no makeup, I'm always the same person inside. There's this idea that it's all natural, but everything's been staged to look natural."
