Pop sensation Lady Gaga has been confirmed as a musical guest for the current season of The X Factor. 

A statement from ITV's press centre this morning, November 4, explained that the multi-talented superstar will appear on the show next weekend (Sunday, November 13) to perform her brand new single, 'Marry The Night'. 

A tweet from the television network just after 9am BST today revealed the exciting news:

"Double elimination on this Sunday's @TheXFactor. @ladygaga will perform her new single next Sunday 13th. #xfacfor"
