Lady Gaga picks up LGBT award

Lady Gaga has been honoured at LGBT organisation's award ceremony - and proclaimed that it means more to her than winning a Grammy.

The singer was awarded the Hero gong at the Trevor Project's annual live show last night (December 4) for the role she has played within the LGBT community.

And upon receiving the honour, she suggested that the award meant more than picking a Grammy. She said:

"This means more to me than any Grammy I could ever win."

The Trevor Project's official website says that they are a "leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning youth".
