Pop sensation Lady Gaga may be on her world tour with the Born This Way Ball, but she still found time to treat her mother for the holidays.

The 'Marry The Night' superstar took to social networking site Twitter earlier today (May 4) and explained that she gave her mother, Cynthia, real pearls for Mother's Day but they were soon substituted for the jewellery available from her tour merchandise:

"Gave my mother real pearls for the holidays, but she's running around in BTWBall merch pearls. #TheEggDoesntFallFarFromTheOvary #cheap&chic."

Following this tweet, the songstress shared a photograph of herself enjoying a cocktail and accompanied the picture with a caption that read "we love party China xoxoxo."

She will perform 2 more concerts in Hong Kong, on May 5 and 7 respectively, before heading over to Japan where she will continue her Born This Way Ball run of dates.
