The manager of pop icon Lady Gaga has spoken out about the incredible success she has enjoyed to date and the conflict she caused in Jakarta during the scheduled Indonesian leg of her current tour.

Troy Carter sat down for an interview at the Music Matters conference in Singapore recently and when asked about the protests surrounding her visit and the subsequent cancellation of her Indonesian tour date with the Born This Way Ball, he explained the whole situation was on par with the crucifixion of Jesus Christ:

"It's less about Gaga than it really is what's happening in the world right now as a whole. This is a microcosm. It's a generational divide. Jesus Christ got crucified. It happens."

He also opened up about her forthcoming new album and while he didn't reveal any specific details, Carter did admit that she has another 3 records left to release under the Universal label:

"We have I think three records left with Universal [Interscope]. There may be a [record label] system there by the time her deal's up that looks more attractive."

He also added that her current world tour has only just begun and she will be on the road for at least another 12 months:

"It's gonna be an additional year before that tour is over. It's a long album cycle but it's part of the storytelling."
