Lady Gaga is said to have confirmed that her new album will be released before spring next year.

The singer is currently in the process of working on the follow-up to her hit 2011 album 'Born This Way'.

Speaking on her social networking website Little Monsters, Gaga said that fans should expect to hear the new record "before spring" next year.

The singer meanwhile has also been uploading photos onto the website from a recent sleepover she held with actress Lindsay Lohan.

Lohan can be seen smoking cigarettes as the pair spend time together.

As previously reported, Lady Gaga has confirmed that she will be making her film debut in the upcoming Robert Rodriguez movie Machete Kills.
