Lady Gaga launches 'Fame' fragrance in Japan

Superstar Lady Gaga launched her debut fragrance in Tokyo, Japan yesterday (August 1) and was met with a fantastic reception.

'Fame' won't hit stores in the USA for another month, but it will be sold in a pop-up shop situated in Tokyo's Harajuku district for the next few weeks along with a limited-edition soap.

Fons Hautkamp, the general manager of the fragrance's producer 'Coty', explained that although Gaga wasn't actually present at the unveiling of the perfume she did approve everything seen on-site:

"This whole store is done with her, and everything you see here she has seen."

The 'Born This Way' sensation took to Twitter earlier this afternoon (August 2) and thanked her Japanese fans for their incredible support of her latest business venture:

"Thank u so much for yesterday Tokyo. 1800 Harajuku Monsters waited in line for for over 40 hours at the Plaza for fragrance launch i love u!
