Lady Gaga on duet with Kendrick Lamar: 'It's about my relationship with Jakarta and wanting to make peace'

Superstar Lady Gaga has revealed more details on her newly announced collaborative track with American hip-hop artist, Kendrick Lamar.

She unveiled the exciting news to her fans via Twitter last night (August 15) and returned to the social networking site later in the evening to discuss what inspired her to write the track and what the lyrics represent:

"I wrote "PARTYNAUSEOUS" about Jakarta, and my relationship with that country. Wishing I could "get high with the enemy" and make peace. Once @kendricklamar + I started talking about life + his forward thinking views about love + hip hop, the song became something more."

She then called on Lamar to tell his own followers about the duet, adding: "@kendricklamar can you talk about how the song relates to your poetry, K. I feel its your poetry and views that makes you so pioneering."

"@kendricklamar right, if we could just all share the same frame of mind for a moment, hope wouldn't* be so far away."

Gaga was left devastated back in May after she was forced to cancel one of her Born This Way Ball tour dates in the Indonesian city of Jakarta because extremist groups allegedly threatened her with violence.
