Lady Gaga has had the back of her head inked with a new tattoo.

As previously reported, the 'Born This Way' singer recently surprised fans by unveiling a new hair do, which saw the back of her head shaved.

It appeared that the move was in dedication to friend and photographer Terry Richardson and his mother, who died recently.

She has now revealed a series of photos of a new tattoo she has had inked onto her shaved patch, which appears to be a face with angel wings.

Gaga got the tattoo done whilst launching her new perfume Fame at the Guggenheim Museum in New York yesterday (September 13).

The fragrance is noted for being black in colour but clear when sprayed and is expected to become a scent success.

Her forthcoming new album, meanwhile, is expected to be released by spring 2013 and will be titled 'ARTPOP'.
