Lady Gaga shares eating disorder secret and encourages 'A Body Revolution'

Pop sensation Lady Gaga recently came under fire for gaining weight and in a bid to help prevent negative body image issues, she has launched a new initiative through her own website.

LittleMonsters.com now hosts a group called 'A Body Revolution 2013' through which Gaga is encouraging fans to "be brave and post a photo of you that celebrates your triumph over insecurities".

She kicked off the stream of touching posts by sharing pictures of herself in her underwear accompanied by the caption: "Bulimia and anorexia since I was 15. But today, I join The Body Revolution to inspire bravery and breed some motherf**king compassion."

Other posts have included a photo of her make-up artist Tara Savelo, who admitted that suffering from lupus has caused her to gain weight, and a topless picture of Gaga's "assistant and best friend Sonja", who is battling breast cancer and just had a "double partial mastectomy".

Fans can see the posts and upload their own at http://littlemonsters.com/bodyrevoultion.
