Lady Gaga wins 55 pieces of Michael Jackson memorabilia at auction

Lady Gaga has bought a host of items once used by Michael Jackson at auction.

Julien's Auctions yesterday (December 2) sold a number of Jackson related items from designers Dennis Tompkins and Michael Bush, such as the costume he wore in the video for 'Scream'.

Gaga took part in the auction and although she remained somewhat secretive over her buys, she revealed that she took home 55 items. She tweeted:

"The 55 pieces I collected today will be archived & expertly cared for in the spirit & love of Michael Jackson, his bravery, & fans worldwide."

Julien's revealed on Twitter that the auction took in $5 million and confirmed that Lady Gaga was bidding at the event.

As previously reported, Gaga recently revealed that she has written over 50 songs for her forthcoming new album 'ARTPOP', which is due for a 2013 release.
