Lady Gaga praises David Bowie's new material

'Born This Way' superstar Lady Gaga has taken to her official Twitter page to congratulate music icon David Bowie on his brand new music.

Bowie confirmed yesterday (January 8) that he will be releasing a new record, entitled 'The Next Day', along with a new single, 'Where Are We Now?', and Gaga described hearing his new offering as a "moment of bliss" on the social networking site:

"Laying in bed high listening to Bowies new song. A moment of bliss I never thought Id have again. Listening to new bowie for the first time."

She also informed her fans that her current tour is set to hit Canada this week, adding: "The Born This Way Ball debuts this week in Canada! First American date in Tacoma on the 14th! I can't wait for you to finally see this show!"

The pop beauty then returned to Twitter and expressed her excitement at hearing how successful her own albums have been statistically:

"SoundScan reports The Fame & Born This Way the 4th & 5th Top Selling Digital Albums of all time. Hold your head up girl and you'll go far."
