Pop icon Lady Gaga is currently recovering from hip surgery after suffering a labral tear and just because she's had an operation doesn't mean she has compromised her sense of style.

The 'Born This Way' superstar has been photographed out and about in an eye-catching golden wheelchair that was specially designed by Ken Borochov. He spoke to the New York Post about the chair and explained that it was definitely an unusual client request, but a great challenge:

"I certainly wasn't expecting that phone call and have never done a wheelchair but am always up for a challenge and was thrilled to create what I affectionately dubbed the Chariot, a chair fit only for a queen."

Celebrity photographer and friend of Gaga's, Terry Richardson, shared the image of the wheelchair on his official Twitter page earlier today (March 12).
