Earlier today (July 12), modern pop icon Lady Gaga confirmed the release date of her long awaited new album 'ARTPOP' and also revealed some intriguing details about the record.

In a post uploaded to her official Facebook page this morning, the 'Born This Way' superstar's team explained that the offering will be "a 'rage' of electronic passion and fury" and explained:

"The album 'ARTPOP' musically mirrors Gaga's creative process as she passes through the mediums of each artist she collaborates with, scoring a blueprint of her journey. The result, a 'rage' of electronic passion and fury, defining each artistic process from beginning to end."

In addition to unveiling the new music she has been working on, Gaga will also launch a specially designed app on November 11 that allows fans to accompany her in enduring the "adrenaline of fame".

'ARTPOP' will be released on November 11, too, although followers can pre-order it from September 1.
