Lady Gaga recorded "70 to 100 songs" for 'ARTPOP'

Lady Gaga recorded in the region of 70 to 100 tracks for her new album, it has been claimed.

The singer is due to release new effort 'ARTPOP' on November 11 and it seems Gaga was in prolific form in its sessions.

DJ White Shadow told Ryan Seacrest that they wrote up to one hundred songs for the album, revealing:

"It's a result of her dedication. We wrote 70-100 songs over the course of two and half years. This time we tried to have as much fun as we possibly could and then brought them to our friends and said, 'What do you think?'"

Speaking meanwhile about how they decided to pick the album's first single, 'Applause', Gaga added:

"It's an incredible process choosing the first single. You just play the music and see who gets drunk and takes their shirt off first."
