'Born This Way' superstar Lady Gaga has revealed to her 39.7 million Twitter followers that shortly after her injury that caused her to axe her Born This Way Ball tour, gossip blogger Perez Hilton sent her a hateful message.

Writing on the social networking page this evening (August 16), she confessed that he texted her a photograph of herself in a wheelchair after suffering a serious hip injury and had edited it to be hurtful:

"Still have the text Perez sent me of me in a wheelchair w the words KARMA written across + Madonna pointing a gun at me. Day of my accident. Please monsters do not be affected by someone like this NOTHING merits this kind of hatred. Im ok & I always survive. Ignore him. Just Dance."

Meanwhile, Gaga is set to debut her highly anticipated music video for 'Applause' on Monday (August 19) in Times Square and told her Twitter fans: "Join us 8am Mon @ 44th+Broadway to watch THE OFFICIAL APPLAUSE MUSIC VIDEO on screens in Times Square. It's inspired by the entertainers passion for shapeshifting. Would you do 'anything' for the Applause? Iconography in motion, as magic. - GAGA."
