Lady Gaga debuts creative 'Applause' music video

Modern pop icon Lady Gaga made a guest appearance on 'Good Morning America' this morning (August 19) to debut the music video for her new single, 'Applause'.

She opened up about the creative process behind the video on Twitter over the weekend and explained that it took a long time to plan, but they only "shot for 3 days". Gaga said: "The video travels from b&w, to primary colors to a more cosmic color explosion. Telling a story from beginning to end."

When asked by a Little Monster if the video would be a long mini-film, similar to her visual offering for 'Telephone', Gaga explained: "It's long as the song this time! Marina and I mantra....more and more of less and less!"

In the video, the 'Born This Way' beauty can be seen in a variety of couture outfits and the clip moves between black and white and full colour.

Since her interview on GMA, the hashtag '#GagaApplauseOnGMA' has been in the top 10 list of worldwide trending topics and the initial reactions from fans have all been very positive, with one follower describing the 'Applause' music video as "bizarre and yet fantastic".
