Lady Gaga reveals admiration for EastEnders' Dot Cotton actress June Brown

Lady Gaga has spoken of her love of EastEnders star June Brown.

The veteran actress plays the role of Dot Cotton, who is one of the longest serving characters in the British soap.

She appeared alongside Gaga on an upcoming episode of Graham Norton's BBC chat show and the unlikely pair seemingly hit it off.

Speaking to Brown, the 'Applause' star said: "I am a really big fan of yours. You are so fabulously dressed. I am honoured to be sitting next to you."

She later quipped: "I want to drink from your cup to see what those genes are."

The two females were later pictured backstage embracing, with Gaga clutching a copy of the 86-year-old's new autobiography.

The singer also performed her latest single 'Do What U Want' on the show, which is due to air in the UK on Friday (November 8).

They were joined on the sofa by actor Jude Law and comedian Greg Davies.

Gaga meanwhile is currently on the promotional trail ahead of the release of new album 'ARTPOP' on November 11.
