Lady Gaga has spoken out in praise of Tom Daley after he revealed that he is in a gay relationship.

The Olympic diver announced in a video clip yesterday (December 2) that he is dating a man, with the Brit wanting to end speculation about his private life.

A number of music stars paid tribute to Daley after his video, such as Boy George and The Wanted's Siva Kaneswaran.

It seems the young diver has another new fan in Lady Gaga, who tweeted:

"Between @TomDaley1994 and @Magicjohnson's Oprah Interview about his son, what an inspiring and brave week!"

Gaga meanwhile is set to return to the UK at the weekend to perform at the Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball.

She will take to the stage at London's O2 Arena on Sunday (November 8) to promote her latest album 'ARTPOP'.
