Pop icon Lady Gaga is currently recovering from hip surgery after suffering a labral tear during her Born This Way Ball Tour and her team have now revealed a way for fans to show their support for her through this difficult time.

Gaga's staff have partnered with Skype to bring Little Monsters around the globe a new campaign called 'Get Well Gaga', which allows fans to add the user 'GetWellGaga' to their Skype contacts list and then send over their very own artwork inspired by the 'Judas' superstar.

A message on the service's site explains "inspire Mother Monster as she recovers. Send us your
best, most encouraging, original artwork" and fans have until 11:59pm PT on May 9 to share their unique creations (some shown below).

An album will be compiled from the entries and the campaign leaders have promised that Gaga will flip through it, seeing each one personally.

Pop icon Lady Gaga may be recovering from hip surgery, but she took to her official Twitter page on April 27 to mark the amazing production's one-year anniversary with a special video.

The 'Judas' beauty suffered a labral tear while performing on the extensive run of dates and was subsequently forced to cancel the remaining concerts, but on April 27 the tour celebrated its birthday and she posted a message via both the social networking site and her LittleMonsters.com site along with an accompanying photo (shown left).

It simply read "#HappyBirthdayBTWB" and Gaga then shared a time-lapse video clip that shows the full construction of the elaborate stage set leading into a live performance and then it ends with fans trailing out of the arena. The video is set to the sounds of her 'Born This Way' album track, 'Scheiße'.

Lady Gaga has come runner-up in a list of the most influential people of the last ten years.

The singer has a massive fanbase and she regularly uses her position to promote psychological wellbeing amongst youths.

She lost out, however, to Burmese freedom fighter Aung San Suu Kyi in TIME's list of the top influencers in the world over the last decade.

The poll was decided in a face-off style competition, with the likes of US President Barack Obama and Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling also performing strongly.

Lists haven't always been good to Gaga lately, however, with the 'Born This Way' star recently named as the worst dressed female.

Lady Gaga has offered to pay for a fan's hip operation.

The flamboyant singer recently went under the knife after cancelling a number of North American tour dates because of injury.

Gaga has since been seen in a wheelchair as she recuperates from her operation and she reportedly called the mobility aid after a stricken fan called Emma.

The Little Monster is suffering from scoliosis and hip dysplasia and she has revealed that Gaga contacted her to sort out hip replacement surgery, which she has been needing for a while. Emma said:

"Gaga herself reached out to me and is hooking me up with her team of doctors, plus others, that did her surgery in Nyc as I have been needing a hip replacement for quite some time (my left hip dislocated almost two weeks ago too.. I know, perfect timing, right?)."

The fan continued: "We're planning on flying out this weekend, all expenses paid, for a consult. She won't be there, but the gesture is absolutely incredible and I broke down sobbing immediately afterwards... Words can't describe how incredibly Blessed I am... I would like to send a Massive thank you to Gaga, her entire team, as well as [Gaga's parents] Cynthia and Joe for doing an incredible job of raising the most beautiful person I know."

While pop superstar Lady Gaga is recovering from hip surgery, the Born Brave Bus will head out on the road without her to provide support and counselling to thousands of young people.

It will travel to 4 different cities across 5 dates starting tomorrow (March 16) with an appearance in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and fans can pre-register to attend each event here.

Originally, the Born Brave Bus was travelling the same route as Gaga's recent Born This Way Ball tour, but she's had to cancel the remaining dates after suffering a labral tear and undergoing surgery for the injury.

It will now head out to Philadelphia, New York, Chicago and Washington, and a statement on the official website explains that attendees can "hang out, participate in creative and interactive activities, meet resources in your community, and bond with other youth – just like you – who are ready to make a difference and start building a kinder, braver world."

Gaga, meanwhile, has been recovering from her operation in a custom-made gold wheelchair complete with a cushioned seat, retractable hood and extended leg-rest.

The 'Born This Way' superstar has been photographed out and about in an eye-catching golden wheelchair that was specially designed by Ken Borochov. He spoke to the New York Post about the chair and explained that it was definitely an unusual client request, but a great challenge:

"I certainly wasn't expecting that phone call and have never done a wheelchair but am always up for a challenge and was thrilled to create what I affectionately dubbed the Chariot, a chair fit only for a queen."

Lady Gaga team suing over cancelled 2012 Indonesia concert

Lady Gaga's management company and tour promoters are suing Lloyd's Of London over a cancelled 2012 show in Indonesia.

The 'Born This Way' star was scheduled to play a gig in the country's capital city of Jakarta in June that year, but the event was pulled after religious protesters slammed the singer for being "vulgar" and "the devil's child", and Gaga's safety could not be guaranteed if she went ahead with the show.

In a claim filed in a California court, Gaga's management company Atom Factory and tour partners Live Nation LG Tours and Mermaid Touring have said that Lloyd's Of London have failed to honour two "terrorism policies" that would have saved them substantial cancellation fees.

The insurers refused to pay as the original claim contained "language and purported conditions that are not contained in the [policies]".

Gaga's management and tour partners have now described this as "despicable conduct with the intent to vex, injure or annoy" in their suit, and are seeking damages of at least $150,000 (£99,000).

An unreleased and somewhat controversial advertisement for Lady Gaga's debut fragrance 'Fame' has been uploaded to the internet.

The pop sensation is currently recovering from hip surgery after suffering a labral tear on her Born This Way Ball tour, but a previously unseen commercial has now surfaced and it comes with a warning.

The clip, which is only 42 seconds long and has been entitled 'Lady Gaga FAME: The Massacre', begins with a disclaimer about the use of gun violence and explains: "WARNING: The use of violence in this film is a comment on the duality of FAME. Luxury propels vanity into dangerous places."

It was directed by Steven Klein and shows Gaga dressed in all black while wearing a black visor across her eyes as she shoots a host of male models who are posing behind a large pane of glass, which shatters and cracks as the bullets fire through it.

Lady Gaga channeled fans' bravery before hip operation

Lady Gaga has revealed that she resourced strength and courage from her fans as she underwent hip surgery.

As previously reported, the singer recently cancelled all the remaining dates on her Born This Way Ball tour due to a troublesome hip complaint.

She entered the operating theatre yesterday (January 20) to have hip surgery to fix the issue.

In an emotional letter posted on her Little Monsters website after the operation, Gaga later paid tribute to her fans and revealed that she is looking to them for inspiration during the troubling times. The 'Marry The Night' star said:

"Monsters, You really gave me a lot of strength today. Everything happened so fast, but when it came time to face it I reflected on the many stories and experiences you've shared with me about your lives. Meeting you backstage, reading your letters, watching you communicate with fans from around the globe to form a community that supports one another -- You have completely blown my mind."

She continued: "As they wheeled me into surgery today, I thought about all of your pain and perseverance, your unique family situations, school environments, health issues, homelessness, identity struggles -- sometimes you are so brave that it terrifies me. I wonder how it's even possible. So I thought to myself, I'm alive, I'm living my dream, and this is just a bump in the road. I'm grateful because this is temporary, and for some it is not. You have changed my life. I love you and am proud to be a part of your lives. If you can do it, I can do it too, and if we stick together we can get through anything. Love, Gaga."

Taking to Twitter today (February 20) at roughly 2.30pm UK time, the 'Marry The Night' singer revealed that she was about to head into the operating theatre. She said:

"Going in for surgery now. Thank you so much for sending me love and support. I will be dreaming of you."

Lady Gaga fans create worldwide Twitter trend after she axes Born This Way Ball tour

Little Monsters around the world have joined together on social networking site Twitter to send messages to a very sad Lady Gaga, who has cancelled the rest of her tour due to an injury that now needs surgery.

The modern pop icon revealed that she has synovitis, which is the medical term for inflammation of the synovial membrane, and explained that after hiding the injury from her crew and fans for some time it's now at the point where she's finding it hard to walk and will have to undergo an operation because she has a "labral tear of the right hip".

Her fans have put on a united front in spite of the sad news, which means that the rest of her Born This Way Ball tour has now been completely cancelled, and created a hashtag (pictured left) through which they have been sending her well-wishes. It has also made it into the Top 10 worldwide trending topics list on Twitter and some of the highlights can be read below:

"@LGMonsterFacts Thank You For The BTW Ball Gaga. Thank you for putting your entire body & soul on stage every night; you are a Queen"

"@Elliot_Friar Thank You For The BTW Ball Gaga. Even though I didn't attend, millions of others did. The abrupt ending makes the occasion more special."

"@Almaricano: This tour fulfilled my dreams, gave me new friends & made me a braver person. I had the time of my life. Thank You For The BTW Ball Gaga"

Gaga cancels entire tour to undergo surgery

Lady Gaga has axed all of her upcoming tour dates in order to have surgery on her hip.

The singer previously announced that she would be postponing three upcoming shows in North America due to inflammation of the joints.

Gaga's team have now confirmed that the issue is more serious than first thought and surgery is needed - meaning that all of her remaining North America tour dates have been shelved.

A statement reads: "Live Nation Global Touring has confirmed that the remainder of the Lady GaGa 'Born This Way Ball' performances have been cancelled. After additional tests this morning to review the severity of the issue, it has been determined that Lady GaGa has a labral tear of the right hip. She will need surgery to repair the problem, followed by strict down time to recover. This unfortunately, will force her to cancel the tour, so she can heal."

It adds: "Refunds for the cancelled performances will be available at point of purchase starting Feb 14, 2013."

Gaga's North American tour was due to continue through until a gig in Tulsa on March 20.
