Lana Del Rey suffers from 'medical anomaly': "I feel really sick a lot of the time"

Lana Del Rey has admitted that her on-stage tears in Dublin last year were the result of a medical problem.

The singer cried on stage when performing 'Video Games' in Ireland in 2013 and most people thought she was just getting into the moment.

However, the US star told Fader that she actually suffers from a medical issue that makes her feel "really sick".

Doctors have struggled to diagnose the problem and it seems the problem got the better of her when in Dublin. She said:

"I’d been sick on tour for about two years with this medical anomaly that doctors couldn’t figure out. That’s a big part of my life: I just feel really sick a lot of the time and can’t figure out why. I’d gotten these shots in Russia, where we’d just been.

"It was just heavy. It’s just heavy performing for people who really care about you, and you don’t really care that much about yourself sometimes. I thought it was sad. I thought my position was sad. I thought it was sad to be in Ireland singing for people who really cared when I wasn’t sure if I did."

Del Rey meanwhile is due to release her new album 'Ultraviolence' on June 16.
