Lana Del Rey: 'Men are my passion'

Songstress Lana Del Rey has revealed that men influence her life and especially her songwriting because she finds them alluring and fascinating.

During a new interview with German magazine Neon, the 'West Coast' beauty admitted that she is constantly inspired by men and the energy they have: "Men are my passion. I like the male energy, their stability and predictability in relationships."

She added: "Many of my friends are intellectual, creative men. Many of my songs that seem to have a romantic theme aren't actually about love, just men in general and the influence they've had on me.

When asked about the kind of men she gravitates towards romantically, Del Rey confessed that as long as they have a sense of direction that's all that really matters: "They don't have to be rich or where they want to be in life. They just need to know the general direction."

She is gearing up to release her highly anticipated new album, 'Ultraviolence', on June 16.
