Lana Del Rey's 'Ultraviolence' enters at No.1 on UK albums chart

Lana Del Rey's new album is on course to hit No.1 this weekend.

The singer released her second major label effort 'Ultraviolence' on Monday (June 16) and the Official Charts Company have confirmed today (June 18) that it is No.1.

Their midweek update confirms that the record is almost 30,000 copies ahead of its nearest competitor, Linkin Park's new entry 'The Hunting Games'.

At No.3 on the list meanwhile is Coldplay's chart-topping 'Ghost Stories', whilst the chart's previous No.1 - Kasabian's '48:13' - drops to No.4.

Rounding off the top five on the midweek update is Sam Smith's 'In The Lonely Hour'.

Deadmau5's 'While (1<2)' is a new entry at No.13 whilst Jennifer Lopez's fellow newbie 'A.K.A.' lands at a disappointing No.36.
