Lana Del Rey has confirmed that she has broken up with Scottish boyfriend Barrie-James O'Neill.

The US star had been dating the Kassidy musician for around three years and they seemed to be going strong.

However, she told Switzerland's 20 Minuten that they are no longer an item.

Del Rey said: "We are currently not together. He is a wonderful person. But there are some things with which he has to deal. I will not explain it in detail. This was hard on our relationship, I no longer felt free. We'll see how it goes."

The 'Video Games' star, who had previously been the subject of engagement rumours, added that she would like to start a family in the future.

She said: "I'd love to [get married]. And I would like to have children. Hopefully it will work out sometime."
