Lana Del Rey teases new album's sound: 'It has a noir edge'

'National Anthem' hitmaker Lana Del Rey has teased that her new album will have a 'noir' edge, much like her debut effort and subsequent follow up offering.

During a new interview with Billboard magazine, the songstress opened up about her next album and teased that it will be sonically reminiscent of her first two albums, but won't be a carbon copy:

"It's very different from the last one and similar to the first two, 'Born to Die' and 'Paradise'. I finished my last one ('Ultraviolence') in March and released it in June and I had a follow-up idea. It's growing into something I really like. I'm kind of enjoying sinking into this more noirish feel for this one. It's been good."

On May 7, meanwhile, Del Rey will join forces with Courtney Love and head out on a small tour that is set to kick off in Texas. The dates will finish on May 22 in Ridgefield, Washington.
