Lana Del Rey opens up about 'Honeymoon' inspiration

Songstress Lana Del Rey has debuted the title track for her new album 'Honeymoon' and she has now opened up about her inspirations behind the record.

She took to her official Instagram last night to share a link to her new single and told fans that she has been influenced by jazz music greats and 'late-night drives":

"Here it is, the first and title track off my record – Honeymoon. In some ways I feel it's where the record begins and ends..."

Del Rey went onto add that her new record has a total of 14 songs: "There are so many other tracks on the record, 13 others to be exact- Some with a muddy trap energy and some inspired by late-night Miles Davis drives… But I love this song because it encapsulates all of the things that come naturally to me."

Her forthcoming new album, entitled 'Honeymoon', is due to be officially released in September.
