Lana Del Rey: "I didn't want to be a singer any more"

Seductive songstress Lana Del Rey has revealed that she almost quit trying to make it as a singer after becoming disillusioned with the music industry a few years ago.

The 'Born To Die' hitmaker, who recently performed on Saturday Night Live, explained to the NME that her experiences of being an aspiring recording artist were often clouded by the constant rejection from labels and caused her to question her chosen career path:

"I definitely thought, 'If it's gonna be this hard I'm not gonna be a singer and have nothing.' That would have bene fine, but it's only in the last two years that I started getting tired."

"In my mind I was always thinking about [quitting singing]. I stopped playing shows. I definitely didn't want to be a singer any more."
