Lana Del Rey has spoken out about her much-discussed performance on Saturday Night Live from earlier this month.

The talented singer was criticised for her shaky vocals on the popular late night chat show by celebrities and social media users alike, but has now explained how she felt about her rendition of 'Video Games':

"I actually felt good about it. I thought I looked beautiful and sang fine."

She also added that people are very quick to be negative about her and she is becoming used to hearing bad things about her music in the press so tries not to pay attention to it:

"There's backlash about everything I do. It's nothing new. When I walk outside, people have something to say about it. It wouldn't have mattered if I was absolutely excellent. People don't have anything nice to say about this project. I'm sure that's why you're writing about it."
