Lana Del Rey feels like she is "coming out of retirement"

Lana Del Rey believes her singing career is like "coming out of retirement" after she revealed she's been working in charity and rehab for the past five years.

Speaking to Vogue UK, Del Rey revealed that she had been working with the homeless and in rehabilition - and her friends didn't even know that she sang.

The mystery was maintained because "nothing was ever happening" with her singing - and as a result, she feels like her current career is akin to "coming out of retirement". She said:

"Homeless outreach, drug and alcohol rehabilitation - that's been my life for the past five years. My friends are a core group I met through work, and they never really knew I was a singer, because nothing was ever happening. I consider myself coming out of retirement as a singer at this point."

Del Rey, who appears on the cover of the magazine - which is out on Monday (February 6) - also believes that she may not write another album in the future. She added:

"I don't think I'll write another record. What would I say? I feel like everything I wanted to say, I've said already."
