Lana Del Rey has revealed the ethos behind her life.

The singer told Tokyo Numero magazine that she prefers to live "fast and freely" with little planning ahead.

The 'Video Games' star added that her life feels more whole when she is helping other people. The sultry singer said:

"I love to take things as they come and live fast and freely."

She continued: "I find when my life is about other people I am more passionate and creative because I'm not getting in my own way. I feel the most beautiful when I'm being of service to other people."

Del Rey added that she studied metaphysics before finding fame in order to clarify the relationship between spirituality and science. She said:

"It bridged the gap between God and science. I was interested in God and how technology could bring us closer to finding out where we came from and why."
