New track from Up Down Go Machine - Gambler

A snarling monster of a track that will draw you into your very own Up Down Go Machine addiction

“It’s easy to see why London-based Up Down Go Machine are creating such a flurry of excitement.”– SWN Festival – created by Huw Stephens – Radio 1

“Up Down Go Machine’s sound was lavish, the dynamics were well explored and there was nothing musically extraneous.” – Jen Kent – gig slutz

“One of the best things about my job is finding artists who have that special something. It's like striking gold - you quickly look around to check no-else has seen it yet. Up Down Go Machine are one of those acts” – Tim Johns,  BBC Introducing

WELCOME TO UP DOWN GO MACHINE
The band weaves punchy, but delicate folk melodies around their stripped back, acoustic guitar led sound.
Catchy percussive elements add rhythmic vibe that propels this acoustic-style into something more interactive and energetic.

Their songs are unashamedly heartfelt and direct, with strong nods to Mumford Sons and Ben Howard but never stray too far from their home-grown Celtic roots.

TITLE TRACK: ‘GAMBLER
Written and recorded for the first time with producer, Owain Jenkins at studio Owz, the band wanted to explore their acoustic, vocal driven sound.  To push their music to evoke a mix of emotions throughout the recordings.

Inspired by the epic gangster movies of the 80s and 90s, gambler is a snarling monster of a track about a man whose addiction has taken him to the dark side.

Acoustic-led but with pitch-black lyrics, an urgent whiskey-stained vocal and a killer chorus, it'll go down just as well at summer festivals as it will your live music stomping ground.
