Lea Michele has released the video for her debut single.

The Glee star is unleashing the song 'Cannonball' as the first track from her upcoming maiden album 'Louder'.

The tune will be released in the UK on February 23 with the record following on March 3.

Michele has now issued the song's video and it sees the singer perform in an abandoned mansion.

Taking to Twitter after its release, the actress said: "So thankful to everyone who helped me make my #CannonballMusicVideo and to all of you for watching..."

Michele meanwhile previously said that the song has acted as a coping mechanism with regards to the death of her boyfriend Cory Monteith in July.

She said: "[Cannonball] just really explains where I am right now and it's been such an inspirational song for me. It's been such a rock, such a source of strength for me. The minute I heard the song, I had a physical reaction to it. For me, it's been my strength. I listen to it every day. I know it was brought into my life for a reason. It's really been so helpful for me and I hope it's the same for other people as it's been for me."
