Lea Michele plotting to keep her character in Glee for longer

Glee superstar Lea Michele can't bear to think of life after Rachel Berry, the character she portrays on the hit U.S series, and has revealed she has a few comeback plans up her sleeve once the bossy vocal powerhouse graduates McKinley High.

Although 25-year-old Michele understands that for an accurate portrayal of the American high school system her character will soon need to move on, she isn't ready for the change and thinks it would be great to return as a substitute teacher:

"After I leave I would love to do many things. I'd love to go back to Broadway or do a film, or maybe comeback as a substitute teacher!"

"I could flunk! Which can happen. I can fail my classes, so I'm going to see how I feel and then decide. Obviously, I can't be on the show forever but I think I look fairly young."

The first episode of Glee's season 3 premiered in the U.S on September 20 and Michele teased that it's going to be a great run:

"I know what is coming for Rachel this season and I am so excited about that. I try not to get too ahead of myself and I am just focusing on what I have to do now. Thinking about life without Rachel Berry is pretty overwhelming. I haven't really thought about that yet."
