Lea Michele on debut album intentions: 'I want songs girls can dance in their underwear to'

'Glee' sensation Lea Michele has revealed more details on her forthcoming debut studio album and admitted that she wants it to inspire a reaction from fans and listeners.

Speaking to Nylon about the currently untitled record, the beauty explained that she hopes it will make people dance and feel empowered:

"I want to make songs where girls can just roll down the windows of their car or dance around in their rooms in their underwear, like, ‘I hate my ex-boyfriend!’ or ‘I’m so in love!’ because that’s what I want (to hear), power-girl songs.”

Earlier this month, Michele told her Twitter followers that she's currently recording in a room next to X Factor USA panelist Demi Lovato, which has been inspiring:

"At the studio right now at my first recording session for MY SOLO ALBUM!! I'm so happy and can't wait for you all to hear this record!! Best news is that @ddlovato is the room right next door 2 me recording her album! :) She's so sweet & just gave me such great motivation!"
