Lea Michele has released her new single.

The Glee star is unleashing the track 'Cannonball' as the first song from her upcoming debut record 'Louder'.

She gave it a public airing when the tune became available on iTunes via pre-orders of her album.

Michele tweeted: "I've got this new beginning and I will fly I'll fly like a CANNONBALL" #CANNONBALL."

'Cannonball' was written by Australia hitmaker Sia, who has penned the likes of Rihanna's 'Diamonds'.

The singer and actress recently released the tracklisting for 'Louder', which features tracks such as 'You're Mine' and 'Thousand Needles'.

Michele meanwhile is currently starring in the fifth series of Glee as she comes to terms with the death of real life boyfriend and colleague Cory Monteith earlier this year.
