Leona Lewis on new music: 'I'm not going to censor myself anymore'

Songstress Leona Lewis is gearing up to release a brand new album and has revealed that now she's free from Simon Cowell's SyCo label, she feels 'free' to be completely honest and able to make a record exactly the way she wants to.

She uploaded a new video to her social media accounts last night (April 21) and told her fans that she won't censor herself or be told what to do any longer:

"It's like full circle back to where I started and where I began. I've met people I respect and love so much doing this, that have become like best friends to me, and I've met people who've come in and taken advantage of me. I'll always embrace everyone with open arms and try to see the best in people."

"Having that creative freedom, I'm going out there and doing my own things. A lot of people were telling me how to act and what to say... you should be able to do whatever you want to do - however you want to express yourself [...] I'm not going to compromise myself anymore and I'm not going to censor myself."
