Leona Lewis says 'Glassheart' will be edgy and will show new direction

Vocal superstar Leona Lewis has opened up about the progress of her forthcoming new album and revealed that it will be slightly edgier than her older material.

Speaking to London's Metro newspaper, she explained that 'Glassheart' will feature some drum and bass sounds and was partly influenced by the 90s music she listened to growing up:

"At the moment I’m just finishing up my album so I’m hoping it will be out in the summer. I’ve got a track that’s got a bit of drum’n’bass at the end. It’s quite different to what I’ve had out before."

"I’ve got a track that’s very 90s. It’s just different influences that I’ve had through my life growing up."

Meanwhile, Lewis spent time over the weekend on the X Factor panel in London at the O2 Arena where she stepped in as a guest judge and tweeted a message to her followers to let them know she had a great time:

"So excited to be judging on Xfactor in London today! I can't wait to see all the talent in my hometown! #XFactorUK"
