Leona Lewis reveals obsession with royal family and recent birth: 'It's like they're my own relatives'

Songstress Leona Lewis has admitted that she was so excited about the birth of the royal baby because the royal family has been a huge part of her family's combined interest for years.

Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton welcomed a son, named Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge, earlier this week and the 'Bleeding Love' hitmaker wrote about the birth in a new blog post that confessed her fascination with them:

"Whenever I see pictures of William and Kate, a warm familiar feeling comes over me. I feel like I know them somehow, I feel that they could be my sweet next door neighbours or a couple you meet on holiday and have a laugh with."

"As the world eagerly anticipated the Royal birth it seemed everyone had caught baby fever! We couldn’t wait to find out the gender, I was sure it would be a girl. Baby watch was well and truly in full force. Finally Kate and William welcomed a baby boy into the world on Monday July 22nd. Kate looked absolutely beautiful as she stepped outside for pictures with her baby bundle in her arms and husband by her side."
